How tennis match odds work
Tennis has a two-way Match Odds market: back the player you think will win, or lay the one you think will lose. There is no draw. Prices move point by point, especially on break points and at the end of each set.
Trading tips
- Serve matters: on fast surfaces, breaks of serve are rarer and move the price more.
- A player who loses the first set is often over-priced if they are the stronger server.
- Lay a player who is serving for the set if you expect a comeback — the price will rise if they are broken.
